Shannon Ma 
 

Shannon is a junior at Princeton University studying Economics and obtaining minors in Music Performance and French.
 
Shannon competed in the 2021 Menuhin International Violin Competition and her violin performances have since been featured on stations including NBC Bay Area, the National Public Radio (NPR), and the Violin Channel. She went on to serve as concertmaster of the 2023 National Youth Orchestra of the United States (NYO-USA) touring Canada and the US with Hilary Hahn and Sir Andrew Davis. She was also a 2022 National YoungArts winner, and upon graduation received the honor of Santa Clara County’s Student Excellence in the Arts. 
 
A passionate dancer as well, Shannon serves as Artistic Director of Princeton’s premiere dance company, BodyHype, in its 2024-25 season. She grew up training in contemporary, jazz, ballet, and Chinese folk, among various competitive styles.

Shannon wants to use her expertise and leadership in the arts to explore digital branding and talent strategy. She is currently writing her Junior Paper about the impacts of digital marketing on live performing arts across the country.

Shannon’s other interests include movie-watching, selling clothes (@shnoonbaboon on Depop), and matcha hunting.
